12/26/2023 0 Comments Star trek online dps elite queues![]() ![]() On the flip side outside of those elite queues, the survivability requirements aren't massive - I set the Engineering DPS record (118k) in a tank that pulls aggro off of basically everything and can live through every queue in the game save Hive Elite. But in STO, the balance seems to be skewed so that the 'tank' spot is better spent on just someone else dealing massive damage. Maybe also the problem is that there just isn't room for tanking? Only caring about DPS was the issue two years ago when I quit the first time, maybe it is still? In most MMORPGs, you build a tank who can get aggro and survive, so the rest of the team can just focus on dealing damage. I've got 2 T6 ships, Andromeda and Mirror Guardian.Īnd that's still not enough to even consider space elites. Then all the dil and upgrades to raise beams and consoles to XIV. So far for space I've spent not a lot of EC, but a ton of mark grinding to get Full Iconian set, enough fleet credits and dil for 3 tac consoles and 3 embassy consoles, 7 advanced fleet beam arrays, plus one SRO. Knowing the maps, understanding the missions, is way more important than your gear. I can be good for ground elite with 19 mil EC worth of ground gear. For 20k to not be enough sets the bar really high. The vast majority of STO players don't break 10k. So I guess this is kind of the issue then. Look for events that award deep purple colored R&D boxes.Īlso, I by no means want to be an ass but with the elite space requirements being what they are, 15-20k just won't cut it. You can also get salvaged tech from the admiralty system, by the way. I'd love to see elite space foe HP reduced by 20% and their damage upped by 15% or so. But it's generally not any more dangerous than Advanced, so you're just spending more time without any more real enjoyment compared with advanced ques. I think the problem for elite space missions is that the HP of foes is absurdly inflated, so it's boring and you end up failing to kill bosses ahead of a timer without DPS. It's pretty deeply frustrating to get to the 3rd stage and then fail with the boss at 30% HP. It's sad but most PUGS won't succeed on this one. ![]() Gateway to Grethor elite has a hard DPS check at the boss, and requires some minimal coordination for the shuttle stage. It's a very fun queue and I recommend trying it a few tiems. You can generally PUG Korfez elite and win as long as bugs/poor game design doesn't screw you on the Benthan stage.
